My favorite part about October is the perfect weather--it's not too hot and not too cold. This kind of weather calls for cozy, comfortable clothes! I am inspired by simplicity this month. So this is my take on the perfect Mall Fridays outfit: a Plaid Shirt and Denim shorts with a pair of Moccasins. Get rid of those terrible sky high heels and treat your feet to a pair of Moccasins. They deserve some warm, fluffy awesomeness, and moccasins always look good with almost everything too!
Think simple make up. Go neutral colors and skip the eyeliner (Big retro glasses welcomed!!) and go for glamorous eyelashes (you can't really see mine, but I have really short lashes to begin with and my stupid camera won't zoom properly) and a pop of color for your lip gloss/lip stain. I like to use Any Bath and Body Works lip gloss(They are delicious), Burt's Bee Lip balm, Maybelline Falsies Volume Express Mascara or Soft Lips lip balm.Accessories:
I am in love with this pair of earrings! It is simple, tribal and most importantly, it goes with everything you own in the closet! I bought this pair on sale for about $8, but you can get a nice pair of earrings at Forever 21 for way cheaper. It really completes your simple t-shirt and shorts and moccasins outfit if you add a nice pair of earrings/hoops!
Other Inspirations:This perfect weather calls for some going out! Make your friends wear plaid in rich, deep colors with you to the mall one day and make the most out of this perfect October pattern, or just go outside your backyard and have a picnic. Don't forget to leave some time for yourself and spend it at a coffee shop (I loveee Peet's Coffee) and treat yourself to a cup of creamy Caramel Latte. Find yourself a copy of Pride and Prejudice (let the romance between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth melt your heart) or Looking for Alaska by John Green (you'd learn important life lessons through the laughter and tears that you will experience whilst reading this book!) These lighthearted, upbeat and cozy songs is what I imagine as "October songs". I can just see myself being in a fun picnic, hanging out in a coffee shop alone or hanging out with friends with these songs in the background. Group Love and Shane Harper are my new found favorites, check them out!
